CHAPTER FIFTEEN

If anyone had told me back in America to ignore the taunts and stares when I’d arrived with nobody but my cousin at the Starlight Prom because back home in England, I’d be woken twice in one night by a greedy half incubus whispering: let me pleasure you…? “What a shock, you’re hungry again.” Mischief rubbed his eyes, as Ramiel stirred, flapping his wings and stretching out his long legs. My own legs parted like that would encourage Ramiel’s electric touch. After the way his hand had felt on mine, I was all about the hope. “Do tell me, are you in fact a new born? Are we to be expected to set up a feeding schedule?”

Amadeus snickered, although his eyes flashed with something wicked. “Depends now, doesn’t it, glittery god? Do you have something, on which you desire me to suck?”

Mischief’s eyes widened. “Unpleasant.”

Ramiel tried to smother his laugh behind his hand and rolled across the bed, cradling me in his arms. Still Okami didn’t wake up, but continued to quietly snore in my pocket. I wondered for a moment if Ramiel was part incubus too because being wrapped in his nutmeg scented feathers had been just what I’d desired.

Amadeus had only partially woken me. You suffered from insomnia when one of your Charms had run off and was lost in Wolf Kingdom.

Huh, I was worrying for a wolf…? When had I become so protective over someone who was meant to be nothing more than a guard mutt with benefits? And why did my crimson sting me for even thinking about Moon in the same way that my aunt and Lux would?
